Hello Everyone!!!
Wow, I have been home for one month and 5 days! Boy has it been crazy! I have reconnected with family and friends, I had the honor of standing beside my cousin and watch him get married, and to say that this past 36 days have been full of all the emotions would be a huge understatement!
Transition back into home life has been way tougher than I expected! That seems to be the theme of this past year: everything being more difficult, and requiring me to lean more on God than I thought. That said, it has been good. I am still in the process of transitioning back in, and finding my place in this town, and this community again.
I want to tell you all about it, but that is not what this blog is about.
Over the past year the Lord has done so much in me. He has reshaped my relationship with him, and in doing so, he has shaped me more into the man he desires me to be. That has also come with a lot of trials, and a lot of days and weeks that (like transition home) were way tougher than I thought they would be.
The Lord did not waste those hard times! He didn’t let me go though them without growth on the other side. He did a lot this year! Thorough all those hard time the Lord has renewed my faith, and recreated it to be so much more than I could have ever imagined! In the trials he has built my trust in him, and he hasn’t let me down!
One of the things that he placed on my heart several times throughout the year was the idea of giving back. The idea that he has done a lot in me, and he wants me to now give it away, and use what I learned to pour into others. He wants me to walk beside people who may be in a similar place to what I was in, and he wants me to walk with them though it.
He has positioned me in a place to speak life into people, and even if I am the least qualified person on the planet to help someone though something specific, I still believe he has called me to pursue that relationship and do what I can. I can be an ear to someone who needs it, and if nothing else, encourage them to bring it to they’re heavenly father in prayer. Pray with them, and walk with them. In essence, be in community with people who need it most.
From that calling he placed a specific venue, and opportunity on my heart: Passport.
Passport is a three month mission trip for college age adults between 18-22. The Lord placed it on my heart to lead a trip. After much prayer, I decided to pursue this trip, and I was accepted to lead a trip of 13 adults to the countries of Zambia and Botswana leaving at the end of January. We will be on the mission field in Africa for 3 months.
I can say from experience, this will be three incredibly difficult months for many of “the 13”, but like on my race, the Lord will not waste those tough times. It is also going to be a time of exponential growth! I am also planning that this next season will be very similar to the past year: more difficult than I am expecting! No doubt, I will need a lot of prayer!
I can’t do this alone! I want YOU to partner with me! Like I said, I will need a lot of prayer, and I will need encouragement though this season! Please! Keep my (yet to be found) co-leader, myself, and the 13 in your prayers!
I am also in need of financial support! Will you partner with me in this!? Unfortunately, airlines don’t book tickets free because it is following the will of the Lord, they still want money! For the airfare to Africa, all travel and lodging expenses, all the food, ministry supplies, and all personal expenses it will cost me $2500. If you ask me that sounds like quite the steal!
PLEASE! Pray into this, and allow the Lord to use you! He wants your best! He wants your gifts! Please consider supporting me financially, and also in prayer!
