Let’s get real for a second. Do our finite words and grasp of the English language ever actually accurately describe our feelings? Or the surroundings we experience? Or even more…the stirrings in our heart from the Father? Can language itself even arrive at a true depiction of our experiences? These are all questions that have been rattling around in my brain as I’ve been mulling over how to blog about my experiences in Thailand thus far.
We haven’t been here long, and we don’t have much to go…but one thing is for certain: God is on the move in Mae Sot, Thailand.
My words aren’t enough to tell you how much the children of this town need Jesus.
My words aren’t enough to tell you how my heart aches at the face of every child I see here, and how even their most basic needs are failing to be met.
My words aren’t enough to tell you how God is showing me His heart for these kids, and the beautiful hope and future He has for them.
My words aren’t enough to tell you how encouraged I am by the unparalleled diligence and work ethic of the team at Outpour.
My words aren’t enough to tell you how God is raising up leaders in this generation on the Thai/Burma border, who are going to change the future of this region.
My words aren’t enough to tell you just how beautiful the people are here…their hospitality, their generosity, their kindness.
My words aren’t enough to tell you how much the Father loves the people of Thailand and Burma.
My words aren’t enough to tell you how dreams become reality when those dreams are from HIM. And just how worthy I(we) am(are) of seeing those dreams materialize.
So forgive me that my words aren’t enough. I have been waiting to start photographing until we had been here for a little while and started to build/maintain relationships. But even then, my photos won’t be enough. You’ll all just have to come to Mae Sot and see it for yourself. 😉
Sorry for the brevity here, just wanted to touch base. I am so thankful for your prayers and support…keep ’em coming! I’ll be sharing some of the big projects we are working on here with Outpour soon!
