Hey friends and family!

A touch about me. Not gonna go into an insane amount of depth, but I believe it’s important that you would know more about my heart and what brought me to this point of taking such a huge step of faith onto the World Race!

Hey y’all, name’s Eva. Well…Evangeline. To be exact, Evangeline Grace Cranford. I love that my Louisiana roots are in my name. It’s like my parents knew, even from the beginning, that I would return to the bayou at some point. (flash forward 17 years to college, where I attended LSU and spent the next 4 1/2 years of my life in Baton Rouge) But I lived almost the entirety of my first 17 years in the Great State of Texas. Yes I capitalized it. It’s God’s country. And to be honest, I’m typing this beneath a full-sized official Texas flag that I received as a graduation gift in 2009. (It flew over the capitol on my graduation day, how cool?!) But yeah, I’m Texas bred, and proud of it.

I talk wayyyyyyyy WAY WAYYYYYYY too much. Like…way too much. It’s honestly and truly my achilles heel. I’m believing big things for this journey, and asking God to teach me to listen more, and to be slow to speak.

I lost a lot of weight once. I like to ride my bike. You know how some people talk about a runner’s high? Yeah, I don’t get it either. Except when I’m on a bike. Something about the speed, the wind, the consistent, methodical motion of my feet in the pedals. It’s incredibly soothing for me. The Lord transformed my life from the saddle of a road bike.

I enjoy being American. I really, really do. I’m on my phone way too much. Especially instagram. (I’m a photographer, it’s in my nature) I like Starbucks coffee. Iced. Well, a 2-pump venti iced nonfat vanilla macchiato with an extra shot to be exact. Yeah, I’m a diva. Let’s see how God humbles me in that on the race.

Did I mention I’m a photographer? I’m rarely without my camera. To make a corny analogy, my life came into focus when a camera was placed in my hand for the first time. And I can’t wait to see how God uses this gift on the race. I can’t even imagine what stories are aching to be told.

Jesus has truly redeemed my life from the pit. And I’m bursting at the seams to share the love I’ve encountered with the world.
