Hello, My name is Ethan Lintemuth, I am 23 years old and am from Lansing Michigan. I was born and raised in Lansing all my life. I was born into an incredible family both immediate and extended. I grew up next to much of my family and relatives close in age to me, we always had a blast running around doing anything like sports, atv’s, making movies, being outdoors etc. I am an easy going guy who loves hanging out with people, being spontaneous, and am willing to try new things.
I am currently going to a Christian college called Spring Arbor University near my home. Ive bounced around schools in college and ended up at the Satellite version of the school near my house.I am pursuing a bachelors degree in business and will graduate this summer. The last couple of summers I have worked for the family business in waste services, doing mostly manual labor, helping out in whatever way necessary. For this upcoming year I am looking to do a business internship in my area of study.
My spiritual journey began from my childhood being brought up in a wonderful Christian home. I accepted Jesus at an early age and have been surrounded by good christian role models all my life. However as I grew older there started to be a dissonance in my relationship with God. Somewhere along the way I started pursuing myself and what I wanted out of life rather then putting God first. Long story short it was a couple of years ago when I came to a cross roads, I was longing and knew that I needed to make a choice on who I was going to follow. God and his plans for me, or my own. I rededicated my life to Christ and have a new found relationship with him over the last couple of years. Its not always easy but I have been pursuing God more and more and pray that his will be done in my life and everything else.
Why the world race? God has placed a great desire in my heart to go around the world and help people. I greatly desire to do just that, travel around and help people in as many ways possible for Christ and his kingdom. My expectations for the race is that it is going to be the most difficult and rewarding experience of my life. I hope to enhance my relationship with God, have new found relationships with my fellow racers and form wonderful relationships as well as make an eternal impact on the people I come in contact with on the race….As for my future I hope to do something similar to the race, just go around the world helping people know God and his kingdom, to do my best to fulfill the great commission. So my prayer and prayer request would be that we continue to cling to what is good as he takes us on this journey.
