Tomorrow morning I wake up at 3am. Tomorrow night I fall asleep on a mat.

Tomorrow I leave my home. Tomorrow I find a temporary new abode.

Tomorrow I say goodbye to loved ones. Tomorrow I meet new life long friends.

Tomorrow The Journey begins.

Tomorrow, Tomorrow!

I’ve packed my bag, read my books, and made my plans.

As I prepare to leave for training camp tomorrow–in Georgia, a place I have never been–I can only begin to wonder what lies ahead. I have seen videos, read blogs, and listened to teammates, but still, you don’t know something until you try it and make it your own!

While in Georgia, I will be meeting my squad mates… aka future life long friends. I imagine that there will be an abundance of laughter, worship, and community. I cannot wait to see who I will be sharing this once-in-a-lifetime adventure with.

Also, the simulation of life on The World Race–living out of a backpack, not washing clothes, sleeping in a tent, scarce use of a shower, etc.–will be in effect. I look forward to this. Despite the harsh adjustment from modern American living, the simplicity and freedom of living out of a bag sings music to my soul.

This 10 day training camp will surely be either the tinder that sets me ablaze, or the breeze that blows me out. Either way I am prepared to face life ahead and follow His will.

Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers, as I have you in mine.

Peace & Love,

Ethan
