I wanted to write a quick blog to say THANK YOU to everyone who has supported me this past week. I went from $1600 short of my deadline on April 1st to $500! I feel so incredibly loved and blessed. Asking for support has been a really big challenge for me because it’s how four of my family members make their income as well and I hate feeling like I’m nagging people. However, I am learning how EAGER people are to give and I find it beautiful! Thank you so much for giving to my ministry on the World Race.
The past two weeks have consisted mostly of painting the interior of a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center for couples. I have really enjoyed this ministry. This week a new couple arrived with two children. I haven’t heard their story yet other than their three year olds dad died last year and the mother is only eighteen years old. The mother and her boyfriend have a baby together who is probably six months old. The three year old is desperate for affection. She greets us every day with her small sweet voice saying, “HOLA!!!” She just wants to be near you. Whatever you say she will repeat, whatever you do she will copy, and whatever you play she wants to play too. She even played dice with us and did surprisingly well.
I don’t know what this little girl’s life will look like, but I hope it’s a beautiful one, I hope she stays happy, like she is now.
Next week I head home for a week for my cousin’s wedding! My sister, Talia, is also due to have my little nephew that week. Please be praying for an early delivery so I can meet him! I’ll be sure to post pictures when he arrives.
