One of the ministries this month as been taking twelve hour shifts at the hospital to stay with the orphans from New Faith Family Children’s home. On Monday night I rode to the hospital with Joy and Michelle to take on a 12 hour shift overnight. One new baby was being admitted for a small operation the next morning. Kenth needed to be circumcised because he was prone to infection. On the way to the hospital he slept in my arms and basically he had my heart from there. We spent the night together and I was even able to hold him when he had his IV put in (which, if you know how queezy I can be about needles is a miracle in itself). But Kenth continued to amaze me with his strength. He was such a good boy and I enjoyed whispering in his ear that he was a strong man of God and that he was loved, smart and kind. Kenth was able to come home from the hospital 24 hours after being admitted and is now back to his regular play schedule in the nursery and recovering well. His My squad-mate Angi has an amazing talent for video and photography and captured the recovery day in the tiny hospital room.
