Hello world!

I just want to start out by saying I am SO grateful for the numerous donations I’ve already received in my first week of being a World Racer. I am blown away by all the support I’ve received thus far! Honestly, I am still in awe that I’ve been selected for the April 2016 Expedition tour to the 10/40 Window. I have never been so anxious and excited for anything in my entire life. I am just 67 days from leaving the comfort of my Kentucky home and starting the first day of my World Race tour! AHHH! As each day passes, my excitement for my race continues to grow. I am excited to meet my squad, start this journey with them, experience all of the different cultures, reach the unreached, watch God move in so many lives, and feel God move in mine! But with training camp coming up, my first financial deadline is right around the corner and my fundraising activities are in FULL FORCE!

I have many fundraising events planned for the month of February, however, my first deadline of [$5,000] is due on FEBRUARY 1st! So, I’m needing your help!

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

With the help of an AWESOME fellow racer, Sue Kafoglis, and her team I have a few ideas on how to get a jumpstart on this thing called FUNdraising!

ADOPT-A-DAY!

After doing the math, we figured out the cost of each day on the trip would be a little over $50/day. Adopt any day during my WR mission trip for just $50 and I’ll share with you exactly how the day was spent and how your donation made a difference. This helps me keep in touch with you personally while I’m overseas! I’m wanting my planner to be filled with names of family, friends, and strangers as motivation to be a witness that day! I feel like knowing that someone specifically financed that day for me will be such an amazing reminder of the support system I have here in the states!

ADOPT-A-JAR!

I am selling 11 mason jars. Each jar represents a specific prayer for my WR mission trip: safety, children in orphanages, human trafficking victims, refugees, peace, strength, growth with the Lord, comfort for our families, the sick, pastors, my team. Here is how you can help: claim your jar (specific prayer) and while it’s in your possession fill it with spare change, dollar bills, encouraging notes, or whatever you’d like! I’m selling each jar for $20. The jars will be labeled with the specific prayer you requested! You can put these jars at your business, pass it around at your church and workplace, or even just have it sitting somewhere you’ll see it everyday! Once your jar is full, you can return it to me and all the money will go toward my World Race. I will be collecting your jars at the beginning of March!

SACRIFICE YOUR STARBUCKS!

This was originally a Facebook post to show my Facebook friends that even a small donation can help. After crunching the numbers, I realized that if each of my 2,500+ Facebook friends donated just $5 each, I would exceed my March 30th fundraising goal of $10,000. Isn’t that CRAZY?! Now I’m extending this challenge to YOU! Sacrifice your daily Starbucks or fast food run and donate a small amount of $5 to my race! ANY donation helps; big or small!

WHO DOESN’T LOVE TSHIRTS?!

I have worked really hard with Fund The Nations on my tshirt design the last few days and we FINALLY have a finished product! These are Comfort Colors Tshirts and you will have the option of long sleeve, short sleeve, OR both 🙂 Contact me via email ([email protected]) or text me (270-772-3318)! I should have the prices from Fund The Nations by tomorrow!? Other colors available: Gunmetal Grey and Seafoam Green

Stay tuned for other opportunities to support me on my World Race! I have a few benefit nights at local restaurants coming up in the month of February! I will also be selling “Threads Of Hope” bracelets as soon as I get them in the mail!

Thank you so much again for all of the donations, support, and prayers I have already received! I am in awe of the power of prayer. This fundraising has really been a test of my faith, but I know by putting complete TRUST in God, that He’s got this. Continue to keep me, my team, and our families in your prayers over the next 67 days!
