Take a look at what our month was like in Nicaragua in June! The first clips are of my birthday, and I must say, in 24 years of life this was definitely my favorite birthday. I woke up to a "Happy Birthday Erin" sign strung across the doorway outside then we got caught in a torrential downpour while moving cement blocks, got fixed up and went to a sushi/sports bar, and ended the night with a surprise party of balloons, a pinata, and cake. I felt SO loved by my team and everyone around me (:
Other highlights from the month were building a kitchen for our dear friend Connie, killing tarantulas, throwing a party for the staff of Vision Nicaragua, baptisms, hiking the volcano Cerro Negro and boarding down it, and so much more!
