1)  It is a beautiful country.  We are within 2 miles of a national park so we have seen baboons, zebras, rhinocerous, water buffalo, etc. this month.  Funny to go for a run and see a whole bunch of baboons, but I think they are more intimidating than the dogs in Romania.

2)  The people here are very warm and friendly.  As a white person (mzungu) everyone wants to shake our hands, especially small children.  We literally walk out of the apartment compound and children come running to give us five or shake our hands.  This happens almost anywhere we go.  One of my favorite moments this month was going into a home and having 15 children stand outside chanting "mzungu" until I came out.  The crowd then went wild.  I felt like such a superstar.

3)  The food has not made me sick once.  After two months of being sick regularly, I have appreciated and entire month without intestinal issues.

4)  We have had access to a car.  We have joked about the "hoopty", but I had forgotten how nice it was to have the ability to bring groceries home from the store in a car or to just climb into the car to go to ministry.  Granted, we did very little grocery shopping as Pastor Mary's daughter Agape cooked us amazing food all month.  Who knew I would love something called green gram.  I don't even know what it is other than it looks a bit like lentils and is delicious.

5)  It is never dull when you are out around town.  We have stumbled upon a parade (Monday was Kenya's independence day).  We stumbled upon the rehearsal two days before and met a top dog in the Kenyan military quite by accident as he invited us in to watch.  I saw a passenger on a motorcycle carrying a 27" tv while the driver was filling the motorcycle up with gas.  It is always eventful and entertaining.

6)  The church.  The church body was so amazing to us this past month.  The youth were incredibly faithful to show up each day to go out and do evangelism with our team even in the rain and when it required them waiting hour for us.  They were a testament to faithfulness and such a cool encouragement to me.
