Many of you have probably been wondering what I have been up to since my post about the widows.  It has been a crazy 13 days since our last off day and I am finally getting a blog post completed today.
Our time has been spent doing a number of things.  We handed out evangelism tracks in a number of neighboring villages.  The church has already had many calls from people seeking to get Bibles and talk more about what it means to have a personal relationship with God.
We have done a number of kids program.  We are becoming quite good at Father Abraham (it is also in Romanian), baby shark, telling Jonah and the Whale or David and Goliath with some very bad acting and some crazy kids games.  It has been fun to interact with the little people as there is something about games and songs and stories that transcend langauge barriers.  My team got a kick out of a little 7-year-old trying to belly bump me this week and going flying.
But, the majority of our time has been spent trying to finish the church building for the church we have been workign with the past 3 weeks.  They started the building in April and the grand opening is scheduled for the 25th.  A team from a church in Texas was in and we assisted in building removable walls for the basement so there are now Sunday school classrooms, building a shed out back to store ministry materials, installing carpet and radiators, painting and my favorite installing insulation in the attic.

Thankfully, the temperatures have only been in the mid-80's, but yesterday we spent a long and hot day completing the insullation job.  Brandon had a misstep and went through the ceiling so we had a little sheetrock patch work to do.

I lost 10 lbs sweating and spent last night itching something crazy from fiberglass.  But, the church is now prepared for the winter.  They have a few more small tasks to prepare, but overall the building is far closer to being ready for the community opening now than it was 10 days ago.  It is definitely fun for us as a team to actually see the progress made in such a short period of time.
