I have a list of questions I have been asked often over the past few weeks.  I figured I would answer them as best I could in this blog.

1)  When am I leaving?

T minus 13 days and counting.  By this time in two weeks, I should be on the ground somewhere in Romania.

2) How many places will I go?

Some of that depends on ministry contacts and world situations.  We are scheduled to be in 11 different countries (Romania, Ukraine, India, Nepal, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and the Philippines). Political turmoil, major illness, or natural disasters could reroute the team.  In addition, we could be with each ministry contact for a short period of time or a long period of time.  We are not guaranteed to be in any country a certain length of time.  But, most of the time we are with a specific ministry contact for between 2 and 6 weeks.  One person who recently completed the race stayed in 89 different places over the 11 months.  I'm hoping for a few less.

3) What types of ministry will we be doing?

This will vary greatly.  We might be doing sports camps for kids, working in an orphanage, working in refuge camps, helping to bring people out of human trafficing, or working in churches.  Each place will be different and what we do could vary from day to day and week to week.

4) How is support coming?

I currently have about $13000 of the $15500 I need for the year.  I would like to be fully funded before I depart so as to not have to worry about raising support while I am on my field.

5)  How many people are going on this mission trip?

Currently, there are 44 people on X-squad plus 2 squad leaders who will be with us the first 4 months.  The two squad leaders have already done The World Race.  X squad is the group going on the July 2 route.  Each group that Adventures in Missions has sent out has been given a letter.  Being that we are X squad, that means that we will be the 24th squad sent out.  Within X squad there are 7 teams of 6 or 7 people.  My team name is 14 Feet.  I will explain this in a later blog.

Thanks for reading and be praying as I still have many things to do before departing.
