I-Squad has been in Romania for a week now. Team Abandon plus Gretchen is spending the month in Bucharest at a mission called “Casa Shalom,” or “House of Peace.” Just what I needed this month! We have been so blessed. We are staying in an amazing building we refer to as “the hotel,” we have a certified chef preparing our meals, and we are working with a missionary woman named Becky who has incredible vision.
We are going to be doing a few different types of ministry this month. This past week was spent sorting through a mountain of clothes and boxing them up in preparation for a flea market we will be having at the end of the month to raise money to buy school supplies for children who can’t afford it. There really aren’t words to describe the seemingly overwhelming task we were faced with, which is perfect, because my wonderful team mate Cori documented the whole thing on video for all the world to see.
