This video is a glimpse into my life for the past 11 months. I saw it for the first time at a youth event last Saturday and admittedly most of us (even one of the guys) almost shed a tear or two. It hits so close to home.

I’ve stood in those places.

I’ve been surrounded by those languages.

I’ve seen people around the world praising God with such reckless abandon and beauty.

I’ve seen a baby healed and prisoners find hope.

I’ve experienced incredible generosity and hospitality.

I've found that the most mundane, tedious tasks can be done for God's glory.

I’ve also seen kids who are abused, used, addicted to drugs.

I’ve held children that no one else wanted.

I’ve hung out in bars with women trapped in prostitution and seen how destroying lust really is.

I’ve seen thousands of hopeless eyes.

I’ve seen and felt darkness in its deepest forms,
But more importantly I’ve experienced the joy, smiles, and hope Light brings.

I’ve seen the Holy Spirit work in miraculous ways in the lives of countless people. Including myself.

I know there is victory in Christ.

I know who I am.

I’ve spent 11 months getting to know 40+ amazing men and women of the Lord.

I’ve been shown how women should be treated and men respected.

I’ve decided that the hardest month was also the best month.

And I’ve learned that no matter how ready I am to move on saying goodbye is always bittersweet.

As this chapter of my life called “The World Race” comes to an end, I am realizing that even after all we’ve been through one of the hardest parts is how unexplainable this whole experience is. And as truly ready as I am to be home, it makes re-entry into the states a little daunting. I tear up at least once a day, sometimes because I’m not ready to leave this amazing community, and sometimes because I so look forward to seeing my family and friends again.

18 days until I am back in the great state of Texas.

18 days to live out the craziest decision I've ever made.

Blessed be the name of the Lord. From this time forth and forever. From the rising of the sun to its setting. The name of the Lord is to be praised. The Lord is high above all nations; His glory is above the heavens. – Psalm 113: 2-4
