Sorry for the delay.  First day I made it to an internet cafe to check in and say ´hi.  There is a game we play on the World Race called THE THANKFUL GAME when things are challenging, silly, or SUPER AWESOME.  So I am going to share some of the things I am thankful for as of yet.

# Arrived safely in Guatemala.  Our 6 hour bus ride to our ministry site with curvy switchbacks in the mountains…extra thankful I made it to the service station and ministry site before I tossed my cookies.

# Sleeping in tents this month

# For hot, cold, rainy days all in one…makes me at right at home…ie Wisconsin weather

# Serving at the school Casa de Saviduria with my team for the week where we lead songs, skits, and games in the morning, and in the afternoon are working to construct an office.  P.S.  ZERO of us have construction experience…and at times things are lost in translation…but we are very much enjoying this.  Our host family cooks us lunch, fresh tortillas, the works…Loven it!

# For teammates who speak Spanish

# Assisting in building a church next week in the mountains.

# For my mess kit…yes Dad…we are actually using our mess kits this ENTIRE month.  Each of the teams is responsible for cooking a meal for the entire Squad

# Worshiping on a soccer field next to a horse pasture

# Hearing ambulance sirens all day as we are living next to a hospital

# Our tent village and the little Palm Tree

# Stray dogs

# For our Squad parents Tim and Lisa SMILE

# HUGS HUGS and MORE HUGS from children we have never met before

# Bustling markets with a gang of 60 plus people

# Internet cafe.s and learning how to use different symbols for blogs

# For Dayquil…I have a bit of a chest cold right now.

# Getting to view a volcano, pizza, and internet cafe for our off day

Would love your prayers for health and endurance.  The altitude difference, cool and rainy weather have effected a number of us…but mostly speaking we are in high spirits and enjoying our first month on the WORLD RACE!!!
