Training Camp was preperation…a time to be Unsettled over and over and over again…and it served its purpose.  I think God likes His kids to be Unsettled in the respect that He wants to always challenge, stretch, shape, and change us to be more like Him…to shock us out of our comfort zone more times than not…get us to think…wonder…wish…but I think all of us can say…sometimes its also necessary to breathe in and out and just rest in God…which has been a bit more what the week AFTER training has looked like.

In remembrance of our crazy week….

Unsettled

Saying hello, and see you later

A plane, a train, a car, a bus

Up the hill, down the hill

Pack your pack, unpack your pack

Leave a pack, share a pack

Heavy pack, heavier pack

On a tarp, off a tarp

Going in circles, a market square

Take a chair, leave a chair

Utensils, no utensils

Shower, what’s a shower?

Bugs, and more bugs

Schedule, what’s a schedule?

Individuals, really big squads with matching t-shirts and tutu’s

Music, worship

Sedimentary, active

Exercise, stretching

Health, injuries

American portions, 3rd world portions

Igloo’s of water, Nalgene’s of water

Sun, rain, cold

Physical muscles, spiritual muscles

Silence, having a voice

Listening, hearing

Unprepared, a little more prepared

Anger, acceptance

Awake, falling asleep

A tent, wilderness, a bigger tent, a bus

Out of place, having a place

Acquaintances, family

Snoring, snoring even louder

Paranoid lil’ packer homie, a less is more packer homie

Bathroom breaks, breaks behind a tree

Dirt, caked in mud

Fresh, not at all fresh smelling

Nerves, excitement

Questions, more questions

Letting go, letting more go

Crying, and crying, and crying some more

Breaking, breaking FREE

IT IS FINISHED…TRAINING CAMP
