Things you can buy for under a dollar:
- Double scoop ice cream cone
- Snickers bar
- Taxi ride
- A day at the pool
- A smoothie
- A coke
- A carnival ride
- 2 hours of internet
- A bus ride
- A chocolate covered banana
- Coffee in someone’s living room
….And the list could go on
Things I have learned I take for granted:
- ICE!
- A car
- Understanding the language of the people around me
- A full wardrobe
- Air Conditioning
- A wide variety of chocolate
Those moments that make every sacrifice worth it:
- The look on the woman’s face after receiving groceries
- That hug from the beautiful girl with down syndrome
- Sitting under the stars with amazing people
- Acting out the gospel in front of church, then realizing it was broadcasted to the whole city
- Realizing that giving everything up for eleven months, doesn’t even come close to what these people have to go through every day
- Waking up to a beautiful view, with beautiful people, who are all serving the same beautiful God
