…will
be my neighbors for the next month. That’s right, I am going to be
spending the next month in the middle of the jungle in
Ecuador in a small village called Hauticocha.
We made
it into Quito, Ecuador, early in the morning after being awake for 40
hours, traveling through 4 countries, 3 plane flights, 2 continents,
and 2 hemispheres. Tomorrow morning, we will head out for a 6 hour bus ride across the mountains and into the jungle to Hauticocha.
This is
what we’ve heard so far:
- We will
be doing door-to-door ministry, vbs, preaching, etc.
- We will
be “showering” in a river that is also home to piranhas.
- We need
to be prepared to eat worm shish-kabobs, among other things.
- We will
be 25 miles away from internet access, so this will probably be my
last post for awhile.
Some
things to pray for over the next month:
- Safety
during traveling and at our ministry site
- God to
work through us in supernatural ways and that kingdom of heaven would
come to earth in Hauticocha
- Our team
to be unified in purpose and spirit and build deeper and stronger
relationships
- That we
would NOT encounter tarantulas, piranhas, or anacondas 🙂
I can’t
wait to update you all at the end of the month! Thanks for your
prayers!!
