Oi, mate!! How're ya goin'?!
My team and I are already more than halfway through month two here in Darwin, Australia! I would definitely be blogging more, but without my own computer it can be difficult (next month I will be better!) We have been partnered with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) this month, helping them around their base that we are staying at and working at Vinnie’s, which is a homeless shelter that also offers clothing and other types of assistance. We’ve been attending churches that we have had the opportunity to serve at in assisting them with their youth/children’s programs and whatever else they are needing help with. There is another team (Team Joyful Feet) here with us as well, which has been a huge blessing and so much fun to get to share experiences with more of the K-Squad Family!

This month has looked a little bit differently than I imagined, but it has been an abundant blessing and has reinforced that God’s plan is not always what it seems! In doing a lot of hands-on work, such as cleaning and organizing, God has been teaching us the importance of remembering that anything and everything can be turned into ministry. Ultimately, it just depends on our attitudes towards the task. Among the hands-on work, we have had the opportunity to build relationships, participate in prayer walks, teach the wobble dance to a bunch of Aussie teens, speak into the lives of homeless men, and a variety of other tasks. Oddly enough, the Lord has spoken to me the most through my time gardening, which I’ve had the opportunity to do at Vinnie’s, the homeless shelter, as well as the YWAM base and a church. Many lessons have been taught to me through gardening, which I will share in my next blog.

This month has gone by so fast, I can’t even comprehend it! I have been stretched and challenged in ways I wasn’t even expecting and have been blessed abundantly because of it. Although I only received minor exposure to the aboriginal community, the need for help here is extremely evident. The power of prayer has been firmly reiterated this month, ultimately reminding me that when we feel like there is nothing we can do, THERE IS! Prayer is powerful and we always have access to talking to our Almighty Father.

During this month here in Darwin, Australia, I was also blessed to spend my 25th birthday with beautiful people of K-Squad! It was definitely one to remember. ๐
Overall, Australia has been eye-opening in reminding each of us of what it means to have a servant's heart and what it looks like to serve as Jesus did. I have been so blessed with this month's ministry and am so thankful for the stretching and challenging lessons in this short amount of time!

I'm still $1,000 short of my next December deadline, which I must reach in order to continue on this life-changing journey. In honor of my 25th birthday, I’m asking if people would prayerfully consider donating $25 to help me reach my next goal. This opportunity has been impactful for not only myself, but also for the people we have had the chance to work with. I know that this is where the Lord has placed me for the next 9 months and I would love for you to partner with me to serve as your hands and feet among the nations. Donations of any amount can be made – just use the link to the left under my name that says “Support Me”. Prayer is also an area of support in which you can help me and my team/squad! Thank you SO MUCH to all of my current and future supporters. This work around the world would not be possible without any of you. God bless each of you!
