“Hellooooooo….this is me!” –Marcel the Shell
Hey everyone! I don’t know about you….but I am definitely a visual learner, and I remember things a whole lot better if I have a picture to go with the words I am reading.
So I'm going to use some pictures to show you a little about myself, instead of me just telling you!

My name is Erika Peiffer. I am soon to be 21 years old at the end of January, and I live in Reading, Pennsylvania. I attend Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, where I am studying exercise science.

<3 Mom and Dad (pic is a little old, but we still look the same haha)
What can I say….they’re the best parents a kid could have. They have taught me how to put others first, how to love people, and how to be generous to others. They have always encouraged me to do the best that I could do in anything and everything! They’re always supportive when I want to try new things, and they’re always there for me when I need them. I love my mommy and daddy!

<3 Steve
This is my older brother, whom I love! Him and my dad are a lot of the reason why I am not a girly girl hahaha…. growing up, I always wanted to do everything my brother did and wanted everything that he had. Yes, I was the annoying little sister, and him being 6 years older, he wasn’t always thrilled to have his little sister tag along….but I was persistent and wouldn’t stop bothering him until he finally let me play. So yeah I was that little girl who played football, basketball, baseball, soccer, videogames, caught frogs, swam in the creek, slopped in the mud etc. And I’m proud to say that I still love to do all of those things!

<3 Joey
I am such an animal lover! (especially dogs) So I couldn’t leave out my dog! Joey is a Golden Retriever/Lab mix….he is so smart! He is 13 years old…yeah he’s a grandpa. He is my first dog…. I’ve had him since I was in 2nd grade! He just makes me happy! 🙂

One thing I love to do is to go hiking with my friends! I just like to be outside observing God’s creation….there is so much to take in! It is just so amazing and beautiful!!
At school I like to play intramural sports:

I play broomball (it’s like floor hockey except it’s played on the ice rink and you’re in running shoes)
I also play indoor and outdoor soccer, ultimate Frisbee, and flag football.
I’m also a runner! Last year I completed my very first ultra-marathon…well my very first marthon of any sort. Yeah…I never ran a half marathon or full marathon, but I ran a 50K (it was 34 miles)! Crazy I know, and it was the hardest thing I ever done…a lot of pain was involved, but running through the Blue Ridge Mountains was absolutely beautiful and I would love to do it again someday!

Now that I’ve told you about my family and the things I like to do…I should probably tell you a little bit about my personality.
I am definitely a quiet person! And I’m usually shy, I don’t like to have all attention on me, so being with big crowds of people is not my favorite thing. Don’t get me wrong, I love people and I like to meet new people and get to know them, but I prefer to meet them in smaller groups.
However, I do come around once I feel comfortable, and then I’m definitely not as quiet, and I let people see that underneath all the shyness is a silly, energetic, big hearted person.

And even though I’m an introvert…I tend to be friends with a lot of extroverts haha….don’t know how that happens, but it happens pretty often. God just wired me in such a way to be able to be close with a lot of people with all different personality types! 🙂
So that’s a little bit about me. I am so excited to go on the World Race! I never have been on a mission trip before! I just know that it is going to be a huge growing stage in my life, and I can't wait to see what God has in store!
“I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”
Psalm 32:8
