Miracles

Every time I think about this missionary trip, I think about all the miracles I am going to see happen right in front of my eyes in 2009. I have read the blogs from past participant about the miracles they witnessed from impossible physical healings to people accepting Jesus gift of salvation.

I never expected that I would experience any miracles in my own life and especially not before the trip started. The day I was accepted, I told GOD in order for me to go on this missionary trip a couple miracles would have to happen in my own life.

I said GOD my right foot would have to heal completely. I fractured my ankle and bruised the tissue and nerves in my right foot over a year and half ago.  I have seen more than one doctor about this injury. The doctors have tried everything to try to heal this foot including crutches, a fashionable big black  boot to stabilize the foot, prescription medicine, physical therapy and cortisone shots. None of this modern medicine healed my foot. I prayed about it and had other people pray for me and the pain would go away temporarily but would always come back. My foot was miraculously healed, the day I said GOD my right foot would have to heal completely in order for me to go on the missionary trip. Since that day, it has felt better than it has felt in a year and a half.

I also told GOD in order for me to go on the mission trip, my job would have to grant me a leave of absence.  I told my manager that I was requesting a leave of absence and it was approved within a matter of weeks which is record time in Corporate America.

Lastly the day I was accepted to the missionary trip I said GOD, I do not know where the $13,800 I need to go on the missionary trip was going to come from. With an extraordinary amount of help from my mom,  close to $6,000 has been donated in less than 8 weeks. Its amazing I only need to raise $7,800 more dollars to reach the $13,800 goal.

THIS is amazing because less than a month ago I had less than $2,000 in my account.

When I worry about where the funds are going to come from I remember GOD performing another miracle by my job granting me a leave of absence during a time when millions of people are unemployed and being layed off in the US.

GOD I know you will provide the funds (sometimes I have to remind myself of this) because I know you did not bring me this far to believe me.

GOD THANK YOU FOR REMINDING ME THAT YOU ARE A LIVING GOD THAT STILL PERFORMS MIRACLES. GOD THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING ME TO SERVE YOU AS A MISSIONARY IN 2009.
