…. To Thailand!!!

I vividly remember sitting at training camp listening to a World Race staff member announce our new country route for the year.  I didn't even realize I was holding my breath until the word "Thailand" was spoken and I exhaled with overwhelming relief.  In that exact moment I heard God say to me, "See, I DO love you."

I couldn't be more excited to go back to Thailand in march- and then I found out that the route had changed again…. we were going at the end of January!! God was going to let me celebrate my 23rd birthday in Thailand! My favorite country in the world! I couldn't ask for a better gift.

At midnight during our 13 hour bus ride from Bangkok to Phuket my team came to the back of the bus and whispered/sang me happy birthday and gave me notes and candies.

The rest of my birthday was our first day in Phuket and learning how the ministry here works. The real gift was getting to go out to the bars at night (for ministry) and start meeting women and seeing what the scene here is all about. I even got to use some of my Thai to speak to some ladies. It was a great birthday because everyone was focused on Jesus and His Kingdom. I loved it.

It’s pretty cool celebrating your birthday 12 hours ahead of the States because it’s like you get too celebrate it twice- once in real life with my team and squad mates and once the next morning online.  Thanks everyone for your sweet notes, cards, emails and messages. I miss you guys.

This month is going to be incredible
