So stoked, because now we know why it was taking so long to figure out what day we were leaving!
We are no longer headed to Bulgaria first.
We are headed to Honduras! And I'm so excited to work with the ministry there and use my Spanish that I've been working on for the past several several years.
Tonight at midnight a bus is picking us up to head to one of the airports at New York for a flight that leaves at 9:30, I believe.
We will depart for Costa Rica, take a bus to Nicaragua and stay at a hostel there. Then we will leave on what I hear may be a very small bus on Saturday morning. Welcome to the World Race.
I have had the route memorized for months now, but never felt comfortable in the fact that Bulgaria was first. Something wasn't right, so I know God had his hand on this decision and I'm thankful for the staff at World Race who have stewarded everything well and made the best decision for our budget.
The idea for the new route is to head to Central America first (starting with Honduras), then Europe, then Asia, then Africa to finish out. They are doing their best to keep us going to the same countries. Obviously this is all subject to change, but God is faithful and we all know that spontaneity leaves room for more adventure!
And not only do we have a new route, but for the first month, we are spending the entire month as a squad staying at the same spot. So this should be very interesting, and very refining. Challenge accepted!
So please pray for safe travels, no sicknesses, and just an awesome month of ministry!
Buen viaje and hello to all the people I love so dearly!
