On Tuesday, July 3, I will be heading to the airport with my parentulars and my sister to meet up with my squad that I will be traveling with for the next 11 months. From there, we will do a few days of training and then we will board the airplane to Bulgaria, the 1st month's leg of the trip!

After months of preparing, talking about the World Race, raising money, and buying endless amounts of gear from REI and Amazon, it's all coming together. Finally.

I did not know the time would come so quick.
And to be honest, it still doesn't feel real.

But it's happening! And God has already done some amazing things these past 2 weeks. I'm so appreciative of everybody coming and visiting me, saying their "see ya laters," and also praying for me to send me off into this world.

Some special prayers have been said, that's for sure. My favorite one of all was last night when I had my home church pray over me. We had a worship service, followed by a special word, and then they prayed over me.

The most special part was my dad taking off my shoes and kissing my feet many many times.

Sounds nasty, right? (Shout out to people who don't like feet aka me!) But the first thing that came to my mind was the scripture in Romans 10:15 where it says, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the Good News." And it just blessed my heart so much.

My dad had just gotten finished talking to the church about Jesus talking with His disciples in John about washing their feet and my dad just goes up and kisses mine.

All I could do was burst out crying (such a theme these days), because I was so honored to watch my dad do that. I don't think I've witnessed such a beautiful thing.

God has something over my hands and feet. I can feel it and I can't wait to share with you all what that is.

And for all of you wanting to know where I'm at in support, I am so blessed to say that $13,200 has been raised and now all I have is $2300 left!

Praise Jesus. I am soooo overwhelmingly blessed by peoples' generous hearts and spirits. You are all so dear to me!

If you would like to give to help me finish out the last little bit, please click the "support me" link on the left hand side of this blog and fill out the necessary info!

I can't wait to get started!
World Race! Hoo-aow! Leh go!
