You might see complete poverty, or piles of trash that are pieced together to build a home.

The Kingdom sees a land filled with Royalty, The kingdom sees a land, that is painted in God's promise.

You might see torn clothes, dirty faces, and messy hair.

The Kingdom sees precious children that are filling this place with child like faith and joy that will change this world. The Kingdom sees His bride.

You  might hear a place filled with muffled sounds, foreign languages, cries, laughter, loud noises, beeping horns, and the sound of trash mushing under neath every soggy step you take.

The Kingdom hears a heavenly song. A song that is composed by the King of Kings,  written for the people, performed by His children, to the beat of His heart.

You might smell sewage, burning trash, food and sweaty people.

The Kingdom smells the sweet aroma of hope.

Walking into the slums I could see the poverty, the desperation, the heart break, I could look down on the children, and see their dirty hands and ratted clothes. I could cover my ears to block out the overwhelming sounds. I could plug my nose, and hold my breath from the awful smells, and keep my eyes straight ahead. I could increase my pace to get the heck out of there. I could continue to walk blind…

But now I see.

The veil has been lifted, and God has given me beautiful front row seats. I walk through these slums with Kingdom perspective. God has given me His eyes for His promised land. I walk through these slums and all I see are bright colors, paintings, creativity, intentionality and beautiful homes…

All I can see is a masterpiece painted in His promise..

Is there an area in your life where you need to ask God for Kingdom perspective? Do you need a change of view, or maybe some front row seats? I challenge you to open your eyes, open your heart and allow God to to give you His view, and wait to see the beautiful ways your life is painted in His promise.

Eyes wide open,

Erica
