I thought I would put down some of the stuff God is guiding me through.
Today I was reminded of how stale I have been. Life demands constant change, even in the way we interact with God. The way I interact God is not the same as it was 3 years ago. I used to dance during worship music, now I sometimes can barely stand the sound of worship music. Recently God has spoken to me through books. You would rarely find a book in my hand back then. I was reminded of a tool I used to use and lead during trips called the ATL, Ask the Lord time. My first few trips I staffed when we used this model of listening to God, I was blown away. God spoke through so many people, lives were changed, people healed, miracles for sure. Gradually however, ending with my last stm two summers later, my and my trip’s ATLs became stale. We, as a staff, I feel relied on this little tool too heavily, and though God would often peek his glory into those times, it lacked the power it once had. God, it appeared, moved on, and we didn’t follow. As if we found God’s email address, hotmail account, we shared some email, then He found Gmail, which is much better, changed it over, and we didn’t bother getting the note about him changing address’s. This is a call to brighten horizons and search out what and how God is talking to me. How many different ways has God spoke to me? Now how many more different ways can he speak. Compare the numbers. It’s bigger than me and you.
