Bwana Asafiwe (B-wana Sophie-way) is means “Praise the Lord” or “Praise God” and that is exactly right. We went to the jail the other day which is actually a prison and spoke. We got to sing them some songs and talk, as well we gave them soap as a small token to show that Jesus loves them and cares for them. As it turns out the prison we went to only had a about 200 inmates, there is another prison near by that houses over a thousand inmates. So when we arrived we actually only ended up seeing about 50 or 60 guys there in the prison.

Taniuska led us all in a song and I ended up giving my testimony. Before I spoke our contact gave an invitation to the inmates to consider and to be open to accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior. So ten I was introduced to the inmates and began sharing my story. I told them how when I was 8 years old I accepted Jesus into my heart. Then there after fell down a long dark road of drugs, alcohol, ect. I talked about how I could relate to them as I myself have been in trouble with the law and been in a similar situation.

I told them that it was by the grace of God that I was able to get out of that situation. My family doesn’t really know this but, I spoke about all of my failed suicide attempts. Then how after being baptized I was able to look back and see God’s hand in my life continually stepping in and saving me. I then shared a passage of scripture with them from Isaiah it was from chapter 40 verses 25-31. So then I closed out what I was saying and then our contact again extended the invitation to except the Lord and all but about two or three raised their hand and said they wanted to except the Lord.

So yes, Bwana Asafiwe!!!!!!!! Bwana Asafiwe!!!!!!!! Bwana Asafiwe!!!!!!!! Bwana Asafiwe!!!!!!!! Bwana Asafiwe!!!!!!!!
