So, I am alive and in
Kenya……PRAISE
THE LORD!!!!!!!! We are having debrief here in Nairobi and will be here
for a few days. We have been informed about our or “NEW”
race
route. We will be here in Kenya
this month and then we will be going to Tanzania
and then to Uganda.
When we finish our time here in Africa we will be heading off to Europe.
We will be going to the “awakening”, still not
sure what that all is, in Ireland.
What I do know about the “awakening” is that we will be there for about a
week
and that all of the squads who will be in the field at the time
starting, in
the middle of and ending their race will be there. So we will be there
for a
week. Then we will be heading to Romania
then Ukraine and then to Moldova. So
that is now our new race route. PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!
Still not to sure where exactly
but from
what I do know we will be working in hospitals, orphanages, and prisons
this
month as well as doing some street evangelism. That is the basic over
view of
what we are supposed to be doing but as with everything that may change.
I now want to take some time to
talk about
my time in Thailand.
Honestly, I have been waiting on and for a country to just really
capture my
heart. That is what Thailand
did. After meeting our contact and seeing our ministry for the month, I
knew
that I was going to love my time there. We did a lot of trench digging
and
building concrete walls and building fences, just a lot of outside
physical
labor. At night we had dinner with the kids and played games and sang
songs. It
was truly an awesome time and I just fell in love with that place. In
short
after my time there I would say that it was and has been my favorite
month and
any other place we visit would be hard pressed to be better than my time
there.
Ok, an update on some other
things as well.
As I mentioned in a previous blog but my step mother has been diagnosed
with
breast cancer for the second time and this time it is stage four. I have
been
informed by my family that she has been having a hard time with the
medication
and treatments. Please be praying for her and my family back home. I
love her
very much and she has played a huge role in my walk with the Lord. I can
say
that I would not be here on the race if it weren’t for her. So keep her
in your
prayers please.
Now as we head into our time in
Africa and approaching our final deadline to be fully
supported for the trip, I am about two thousand dollars away from being
fully supported.
I would ask for your continued support through prayer and finances. I am
so
close to being fully supported and am in need of that to continue in the
work
the Lord has in store. I thank you all for all the support that I have
received
thus far. I love you all and miss you all very much. God bless you. Your
brother in Christ,
Eric
