My brother Dave has been living in Los Angeles for the last 4 years. He has been involved with the various youth ministries, everywhere from Junior High kids to people in their thirties. Yesterday I was given the chance to talk with them all. I came out to LA on Wednesday night. In my time here, I have been speaking with the Junior High group, High School group, and the young adults group. With that, I have also been able to just hang out with my brother.

I love catching up with Dave. We have always had a good friendship. God has truly blessed me with a brother I can joke around with and feel comfortable with. It has been great to see the people that Dave has been investing in for the last 4 years. It was a lot of fun to meet with them and share with them a few of my many stories from last year. I love how stories from a year ago can still be having a profound impact on people. I do pray that people were genuinely encouraged by what they heard. I do pray that people will be challenged to live a life of pursuing hard after Jesus. It is rarely easy, but it is all we can do as followers of Christ. He deserves that we give our lives back to Him, so that He can transform out lives. He wants the raw materials of our lives. With simple materials, God can mold us into something beautiful.

I face the challenge each day of stepping out in faith, following God often into new and challenging territory. I encourage each of you to continue taking steps of faith, pushing yourselves out of your comfort zones, to rely upon our Father to come through when we need Him. He loves to show up right when we can no longer do it on our own.
