As of September 2, I was on an island off the coast of Thailand with 74 other world racers, finishing up debrief. After five days of recharging on the beach and on the dance floor, we headed back to Bangkok. From there we drove 17 hours to Phenom Phen, Cambodia. We spent one day touring through the capital city, then our team left (minus Jake) to Siem Reap. So the Agapetos girls and I are here just a mile or so away from the famous Angor Wat temple ruins, which was at one time one of the seven wonders of the world. We just arrived in the bus station a few hours ago, where we were met by our contact Funkie (yep, thats his name). Our contact had business to attend to this afternoon so I snagged a bike and rode in into town. Its always an adventure, especially when you are riding a non motorized bicicle amongst hundreds of motorized ones. It is absolutely beautiful here. As we were driving in, I couldnt believe the countryside. Wide open flat land flooded with water, commonly known as rice paddies, and thousands upon thousands of palm trees. I think I just landed in a scene from Forrest Gump. My life seems to be about that ecclectic right now. More to come indeed, especially photos, very soon!
