I am embarking on the World Race with Z squad that is made up of 45 people, and the squad is broken down into teams of 6-7 people. When we arrive in a country the squad will break out into our teams to go to different ministry sites around the country. The team I am on chose to be called Zealous Love.

Love is the universal language. Love breaks down barriers. Love overcomes obstacles. Love sees through to the soul. Love sees you as you are. Love has no boundaries. Love is unconditional. Love has compassion. Love will take you to new depths. Love overcomes fear. Love serves. Love is radiant.  Love is a longing desire by everyone; everyone wants to be loved by someone.

How will I connect with people from all over the world, from different back grounds, and speaks a different language?

Simply, “I will love.”

I will love like Jesus loves me! Unconditionally, no strings attached, whether I accepted Him or not because God loved us FIRST! God loved us so much that He sent His one and only son to live on earth that is full of sin, to pay for our sinfulness. Jesus came to bridge the gap between heaven and earth. I love and thank God for what He did for me every day.

And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.  We love because he first loved us. 1 John: 4:18-19

Zeal is all about strong feelings, passion, dedication, enthusiasm, fierce, energetic, and fervent that spurs someone to do something. As a team we thought zealous love is fitting for what we all felt called to do on this mission trip. Take on each day with a fresh zealous love to whomever we encounter, that they may grow closer to Jesus or meet Him for the first time because of our pouring of love. To love our God with all our heart, soul, and mind. To love each other as we all embrace challenges that we have never faced.

Here is the lovely team that I get this divine opportunity to do this with.

I encourage you to check out all their blogs and get a glimpse into the lives of my teammates that I will be doing ministry with.  From left to right we have: Brittany Vander NaaldLogan Kafer, meLauren YearganCarley HighGina Neuville, and Katherine Chen

To sum it up, 1 John 3:16-18 does a fantastic job!

This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.  If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?  Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. 1 John 3:16-18
