God rocked my world this past Sunday and thoroughly reminded me this isn’t about me! Ever since taking a step of faith to follow God’s calling I have been focused on fundraising. I mean $16,285 is a lot of money to raise in 4 months. The amount is very reasonable considering it will allow me to share the Gospel with the least of these for 11 months in 11 different countries and countless communities!
I know and fully realize I can’t do this alone! I need prayer warriors! I need encouragement! I need financial support, not only for the $16,285 but for supplies too! I need people that have a heart for missions! I need people to help fundraise and get the word out! I need people to step out of their comfort zone for God’s calling on my life! I need strong family and friends!
But get this….SO DOES EVERY OTHER MISSIONARY!
I personally got so focused on my lack of funding that God rocked my world to tell me there are others that need support too! This isn’t about ME, not about my World Race…..this is about sharing the Gospel to communities that have never heard it before! It is about supporting the Great Commission and reaching the nations!!!
Here are some other ministries that need your help to in order to share the Gospel to un-reach communities.
- Gospel for Asia – I would highly recommend reading their free book Revolution in World Missions! Then support their National Missionaries or sponsor a child!
- Compassion – Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible fulfilled Christian adults.
- World Vision – Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the root causes of poverty and injustice.
- World Racers – Pray about supporting other World Racers. Take the time to read blogs and stories of the people that I will be traveling with to share the Gospel! Be an answered prayer for someone that has the same calling as I do!
YES, I am going to share the Gospel, to pour into people, give up comforts of America, and follow Jesus with everything! I would love to partner with you!
Let us not lose focus of the big picture of fulfilling the Great Commission – taking the Gospel to the nations, to everyone!
Be Bold in how you support a missionary whether it is financially or prayerfully.
Be Intentional in how you pursue your role in fulfilling the Great Commission.
