This World Race Journey has been an experience like I would have never imagined. The experiences, the living conditions, the eye opening situations, the sceneries and the amazing once in a lifetime adventures has been so humbling to be apart of. But the best part of it all has been the ability to see the Lord at work. I think about month 1 when I met this young 10th grader in South Africa at his high school. He was a rapper that was set on girls, money, and whatever the world had to offer. But I had the opportunity to talk with him each day, answer his questions, and a couple weeks later he accepted Christ. I think about the time I got to spend an entire day with Tomby; a girl that lived in the slums, which are homes made from garbage. She lit my whole month up with her amazing personality, joy for dancing, and bright spirit. I’m reminded of our time in India and how I woke up everyday at 5:30 in the morning to walk and build a relationship with one of the teachers at the school. Although I was often very tired, it was worth every moment being able to chat, hear about her life, and just love on her everyday just like Jesus loves on us. We became so close that I started to call her Aunt Biekie. Or I even think about a recent moment when we went to visit a family and they all decided to leave Buddhism behind and follow Jesus! Man was that amazing to be apart of. The Spirit just surrounded us. Ministry isn’t just ministering to those in other countries, it’s also ministering to our own brothers and sisters. I will always remember the day I got to baptize one of my closest friends on the race in a spring deep in the mountains of Swaziland.

These are all moments that keep my heart beating. Christ truly is the center of my life. If you imagine the one thing on earth or the one moment that gives you so much life, the joy Christ gives me is that times 100. I’ll be standing in worship, thinking there is no better place than right here with Jesus.

In the midst of his glory and goodness, I am reminded of his biggest blessing, which is community. In order for the body to work, we need each other. In order to go and make disciples, we all need a sender. God sent his son, the churches sent Paul, and we need the body to send missionaries. This journey that I am apart of is a journey that we are all apart of together. I am a vessel of the body– only the hands and feet, but it is because of my senders that any of it is possible.

This race has showed me that it excites me to have people not just on board with me for this journey, but people on board that have the same passion and joy that I do for Jesus’ name! Because together we can move mountains!

I am in amazement of the fact that I am still here, but I know it’s because Christ has me here for a purpose bigger than I know. In order to complete this journey, we need $16,277 to be completely funded and I currently have $11,923. That means I need $4,354 by March 15 in order to stay on this journey and complete the race. I would love for you to partner with me through prayer and financial support to continue this journey.
