I have a life of purpose. YOU have a life of purpose.
God saves me every day. I do not mean this in a I am given breath every day kind of way, which is still true and does not carry any less weight. However, recently watching a movie I was reminded that I should be dead right now and for the longest time I did not know that. If you know me at all, you know that I have many allergies. Medically speaking I should be dead, when a doctor asked me, perhaps 3 years ago, if I had an EPI pen I responded with a “No.” They then stated, “How are you alive right now?” At the time I just thought it was something rather rude that I did not want to know, nor thought they should have said. But now I realize God has PURPOSE for me and my life. I could be dead but God has kept me alive, I have never experienced anaphylactic shock, I have never reacted so strongly that my life was in jeopardy and I SHOULD HAVE. This cannot be explained in any other way then that God was with me and working against the things I DID NOT KNOW I WAS DOING TO MYSELF! God protects me so much every day, especially on the race because half, if not more, of the time I have no idea what I am eating exactly… but that does not mean that I am going to deliberately go out and eat whatever I want, I have to maintain self-control and I will not put my God to the test (Deut. 6:16), I know what I need to do and when it is out of my hands. I will rely on Him always, to give me the Holy Spirit-control I need for the day and to protect me from the things that are out of my hands. He continues to protect all of us in ways that we may never find out. Many thanks to God for using the doctor that asked me that crazy question… This is just one of the many Thank You’s to my Father for all He is doing that I cannot see.
As long as I am living, I will follow my Jesus because I AM HERE and He says there is still work for me to do. (Believe that for yourself too)
As long as I live, while I have breath from God, my lips will speak no evil, and my tongue will speak no lies. I will never concede that you are right; I will defend my integrity until I die. I will maintain my innocence without wavering. My conscience is clear for as long as I live. ~Job 27:3-6
