I am sending you this letter to update you on what I’ve been doing, and where I’m headed next. I’m also writing to invite you to partner with me in something incredible.
After withdrawing from the University of Texas in November, I began working for lululemon athletica. Besides getting to sell crazy comfortable stretchy pants, I was encouraged to open my mind and dream big about what I wanted to do. God immediately filled my heart with the longing to travel, serve others, and spread His love.
The World Race mixes these desires in a beautiful way. The World Race is an 11-month Christian mission trip to 11 countries around the world. Throughout the 11 months, I will work with a team and serve in partnership with local churches and ministries to preach the Gospel, work in orphanages, minister to women and children who are trapped in human trafficking, and plant and build churches.
This past year my faith has grown tremendously, and I am ecstatic knowing that it will continue to as I go on this journey. God has surrounded me with people like you who have flooded me with love, and I cannot wait to go and spread that with those who need it around the world. Due to the nature of the ministry, there is obviously a good deal of financial support that I need to raise ($15,500), but without a team of people praying throughout the entire process, all of our travels and work will be in vain. I realize this letter cannot fully capture the heart behind this all, so I would love to talk to you more.
I’d love for you to witness how your prayers and support are allowing me to do what God has put in my heart. I have already and will continue to blog throughout the entire time.
