Many of my squadmates have already said it (I encourage you to read their blogs!), and I will say it again; training camp was HARD. In one month I will be on a plane heading to Albania. I am not going on vacation, I am not backpacking the world, and I am not living a life of luxury. Training camp truly reflected the life we will be living this next year, but crammed into 10 days. It reminded me of everything I am leaving behind, while also confirming the calling the Lord has placed on my heart. I am still processing much of training camp, so expect another blog about that later.

with this year. We have decided to call ourselves Intrepid, meaning fearless; adventurous.

Anna Carter: I am so thankful Anna is part of our team. Anna has a beautiful desire to grow deeper in the Lord. Her passion and longing for more is contagious. Anna is taking this leap of faith fully trusting God will provide for her every need. She is brave, strong, and full of life. I am so excited for what the Lord has in store for her. It is an honor to have the chance to serve alongside Anna this year.

Anna Norman: Anna says she will talk me into bungee jumping this year…she is probably right. Anna is adventurous and is looking forward to experiencing many new things this year. She radiates joy and her presence brings out the best in those around her. Anna is going to be a light in many dark places throughout this journey. She has the ability to bring fun and laughter to any conversation. God is going to use her in great ways. I am so excited to have her as part of our team.

Corinne Hurlbert: Like the other beautiful women on this team, Corinne has a heart for children. She lights up any conversation talking about the kids she teaches every day. I can see the love she has for them through her kind words and stories. Although she is leaving her students for now, she is going to make a difference in the lives of so many others around the world. Corinne is full of joy and I can’t wait to begin this journey with her by my side. **Corinne will also be serving as our treasurer this year–a fitting title as she is an excel master**

McKenzie Riley: McKenzie loves to cuddle. If you are feeling down or overwhelmed, she will be there ready to listen, ready to hold you in her arms. I can tell McKenzie is excited to embrace change this year; ready to step into who God is calling her to be. She is obedient to the Lord and willing to take risks to further his kingdom. She brings so much fun and laughter to our team and I am excited to minister with this amazing woman throughout the year.

Morgan Green: Morgan is a quick thinker and always ready to take on a challenge. She thrives in demanding situations and always thinks about her team first. She is not afraid to take the lead and has a heart to serve those around her. She will challenge me to continually take steps outside of my comfort zone and remind me that God is always in control. She lives life dependant on the Lord, fully trusting he will provide. Morgan is also an extremely talented photographer and loves to dance! It is such a blessing to get to live life and serve with her on the World Race.

Whitney Berryman: Whitney might be the sweetest person I have ever met. She is full of love, has a heart of gold, and a beautiful smile. Whitney radiates the love of Christ through her words and actions. Although her voice is soft, I quickly learned to listen intently when she speaks. The holy spirit speaks truth and life through Whitney. She is strong, brave, and has so much wisdom to offer. I am beyond excited to serve alongside her this year.

So there you have it–Team Intrepid at a glance. We have only known each other for a couple weeks, but I can already call each of them family. I am so excited to share in this adventure with each and every one of these amazing sisters in Christ. Please keep us in your prayers throughout this month and into launch.
