Hey friends! I know I haven’t posted in a little while but I can’t wait to update you all on this new place we are in! That will be coming soon so stay tuned and I apologize for the delay! Before that I wanted to properly wrap up Colombia. I wanted to end on a silly note with 20 things that actually happened to us in Colombia. I hope you enjoy!

1. People, we won’t mention any names Olivia, fall out of their hammocks.
2. People (me) proceed to laugh about said incident for 2 solid days. Sometimes randomly and there are now quite a few Colombians who think I am loco. People began to purposely bring it up again just to make me laugh.
3. Geckos eat other geckos prompting a scream session that may have accidentally taken place during the church’s prayer time.
4. Said geckos throughly enjoy following around your team leader who does not like them, like at all.
5. Your team quickly doubles in size because everyone names their water bottles. Our new team members are MaryAnn, Pepper (Pepe), Wendy Peffercorn, Jessica, Fillup, Juan, Patricia, and G-baby.
6. We often times can be heard yelling out these names as we search for our water bottles, confusing others around us. We have also given them extensive personalities and relationships.
7. Your host makes you pasta for breakfast because they think Americans eat pasta all the time. Their pasta sauce is actually ketchup and mayonnaise, they also leave a packet of ketchup on the table for us to add.
8. Plantains are a food group. And bread becomes a staple.
9. Cockroaches use steroids.
10. You take soccer balls to the face regularly.
11. Children run from you in terror because you look funny.
12. Coca-cola is universal, thank God.
13. You can’t remember a time when you weren’t sweaty.
14. Toilets don’t have lids.
15. Mosquitos feast upon you.
16. They serve cheese on your pancakes.
17. Hammocks transform into beds.
18. No one judges your usage of the same clothes 3 days in a row.
19. Everyone stares at you.
20. Locals ask you out on dates.

An update from Ecuador is coming, I promise. Love you all so much and don’t forget to be praying for my team and me!
