PATAGONIA, ARGENTINA
Alright, everyone, I need your help! Time to start fundraising again. My path to opening a hostel in Argentina is going to take quite a few years. My first step is partnering with an organization in Patagonia called Shelter on the Lake, started by a family reaching people where other missionaries don't normally go, mountain trails. After that I am planning on working at a Christian Youth Hostel in Amsterdam, the cornerstone hostel for the Christian Youth Hostel movement. With both of these places I will be gaining valuable experience, field knowledge, understanding the culture/language/people/history/land, the evangelism situation and just so much more. I am concentrating solely on the first part for now though, Argentina. For this trip I will need to raise about $7,000.

CHICAGO HALF MARATHON FUNDRAISER
My first fundraiser will be running the Chicago Half Marathon! On September 9th I will run my first running race ever, 13.1 miles. I am VERY excited to complete this fete, I'm not a natural born runner, by any means. I will need to get into shape before hitting the trails of Patagonia anyways and plus this is a good way to raise funds! If anyone wants to go to the marathon, let me know and we can probably car pool or ride the train together. After you've signed up (your information will only be viewed my me), you have until September 9th (the day of the race) to donate the money though my fundraising website. CORE SUPPORT GROUP
To keep the privacy of and to respect the people we meet on the trails, and due to other security issues, the organization has asked me to not post pictures, exact details, names and stories publicly online. However, I would love to have a core support group that I can add to a mailing list and share some more personal details with. This core group would serve as my prayer support, whom I can email when in trouble or need to pray over the situation and people. Also, although not necessary, it would be great if the core members would also become monthly financial supporters to this cause. Meaning, every month they would tithe to the fundraising account a sum of money and become the main engine to fund this mission.
