The past few years I've felt like I've been losing the childish joy, wonder, ambition and love God has blessed me with.  It wasn't until tonight that I realized the last time I had this joy was working at Maranatha when I was called to missions in Africa and decided to switch schools to Michigan State and pursue an education in African Studies.  After my realistic side got in the way, I changed my major to Business with only a specialization in African Studies, which I dropped close to graduation due to complications.  Tonight I realized my joy and ambition for life and people was rejuvinated in my spirit and that the Holy Spirit was overflowing inside of me.  You see, it wasn't until I realined myself with God's will for my life and began walking again in His light and His holy path for my life that I began living it and living it to the fullest.  The World Race is more than just an amazing trip to 11 countries for me (although I'm sure it will be all of that and more).  This trip is about bringing Jesus to the masses that have never even heard His name and have no idea that He had created every inch of them, loves them to the fullest and was willing to die for their sins so they could reconnect with our father, Abba.  This trip is about loving the loveless, as cliche as that sounds, about healing the sick through the power of our Lord, about casting out demons and showing the world that our Lord is alive and well, healing and working in ways we could never imagine, still to this day.  I thought for the longest time I thought we were in the 'boring period' of God's existance with no miracles, no rapture, not ark, no burning bush, just praying, believing and sacrificing.  In the past two week the Lord has done miracles through the hundreds of World Racers on the field.  One racer was praying over a man in Easter Africa with a bum leg and on crutches.  By the end of their prayer he was jumping up and down for joy screaming to our Lord that he is all powerful, glorious and so loving and full of grace.  You can read hundreds of other amazing stories like this one on the world race website where you can search through recent and old blogs, but come back to my blog to read the amazing works God will be doing through my team.
