Our first few days in Australia were days off to talk about things from NZ, gather our thoughts, reenergize and get ready to start another month.  It was so awesome to have a few days off.  One day we explored Surfers Paradise at Gold Coast north of Brisbane and just relaxed.

The YWAM place that we stayed at in Brisbane had wild kangaroos and koala bears. It was so awesome and weird to wake up in the morning and watch the kangaroos as you walked to breakfast.

We arrived to Mareeba, Queensland on the 1st of February and have been hard at work the past several days. We are working with an organization called IMLA (Indigenous Ministry Links Australia). This week we have been working with a local church to help do some organization and clean-up. We have also been working on a house owned by a local church. The previous renters did not take care of the place before they left and now we are trying to fix it up.

In the evening we have been involved with different activities like band practice and youth group. It has been very crazy and chaotic at times but fun getting to know the youth.
