This month I am living in beautiful Da Nang, Vietnam. It is amazingly beautiful here in the city of bridges, beaches and mountains surrounding. With team Summit, I am teaching English and volunteering at a coffee shop for the month.
It has been a month of unexpected surprises- and I love surprises! Not knowing much about this country, I came into the month without any expectations. And it has become one of my favorite places.
Here are a few of my favorite things about my month in Vietnam…
1.The Food: Bun Xiao, Pho, Chicken and Rice, Manola ice-cream fish, the amazing seafood everywhere and more Bun Xiao.
2.Vietnamese Hats: everyone really wears these pointy hats here!
3.The Beach: beautiful.
4.The Mountains: beautiful.
5.Teaching English: I loved getting to know these kids and helping them with their English.
6.Working at Bread of Life: all the staff at this coffee shop are deaf. We loved helping out with drinks while learning sign language and playing Uno with this amazing group of people.
7.Riding Motos: I have been practicing!
