This month I am with team Tribute in the beach-town of Sihanoukville, also known as Snookieville. We are living with our contacts on a YWAM base in a neighborhood near the beach.
Each morning we meet for worship and take turns sharing a Word with each other, the YWAM staff and the women of Shalom, one of the ministries started here. Shalom is a ministry for at risk women, to provide them with vocational training and to give them a better option than working in the streets. Every day five women come to our morning service with their kids and then are trained how to make clothes during the day.
The other main ministry on the base is teaching English. Each of the team members was assigned a class and every day, the kids come to learn. I have been able to walk around to each class to help with class and take pictures.
This month has been really refreshing to me. It’s been very restful. I have loved investing into this team. I have loved the opportunity to be still and hear more from the Lord. And I love the beach! We have had so many fun memories as a team and with the contacts here.
