I’m Emily Werness and get excited folks – my first month on the World Race is over and today you are in for a special treat – I present to you my first official month end vlog!! I apologize in advance that Caitlin and myself may have provided too much detail and will attempt to keep it shorter and sweeter in the future…maybe…we’ll see how the Spirit leads 😉
The purpose of these month end vlogs is to give you a more detailed summary of what life on the Race has been like in each country and what God has been doing – for you to feel like part of the action! (And to see my beautiful face and listen to my lovely voice of course…)
Enjoy!!
I just want to take a moment to send a shout out to all of my supporters – your love, encouragement, and prayers are not something I take for granted and it is such a big deal. I wouldn’t be here without you. Knowing all of you are in this thing with me makes it so much sweeter and energizes me to attack each day with all that I am. I love hearing from you all – so please don’t hesitate to email, message, or comment on my blog – I promise I will see it!
Financial update: I am still about $2000 short of being fully funded. If you would like to donate and take part in this Race with me, the easiest way is to click the “Support Me!” link at the top of this page.
I have also been slacking in the whole posting prayer needs…let me remedy this:
–Pray for safe travels overnight to Thailand tomorrow for L squad – 13ish hour bus ride to Chiang Mai!
–Pray for Navy and her husband, the Pastor, here at Revelation Word Baptist Church – that God would continue to strengthen them, protect them, and bless them; that they would continue to bask in his love and continue to be a light for their village and spread more of the Gospel; strength for raising their three grandchildren while their daughter works in Thailand to send money to the family
–Pray for each of the youth we have met here – at New Life, the Methodist church, and RWBC – that their studies and schooling would continue to go well and they would be able to succeed and come back to their communities and be a positive influence for growth; also that their desire for Christ would continue to grow and that they would continue to seek Him first in their lives
-Personally, pray that I would be more intentional – in conversations, in ministry, and my time with my Father; pray for continued energy
I’m Emily Werness and month 1 of my World Race is at an end…goodbye Cambodia – I loved you!!
PS – in case you just watched my vlog and are wondering, yes, I did pack more than just that one tie dye t-shirt…I do wear clean clothes as often as I am able – promise!
