The race is almost over, which is definitely bittersweet. We’re currently on our way to Cambodia, our final country, the last 3 months of our race! Which is so crazy to think about. So before we enter into the last part of the race, I thought I’d take a trip down memory lane to remember all the amazing experiences I’ve had and the super cool things God has done!

Guatemala:

1.) Meeting Juana and being able to continually go and see her almost each and every day, build a relationship with her and watch as she gradually responded more and more to us to the point where we were able to take her out to eat for her birthday. Being able to see her smile and look genuinely happy, even when it was only for a split second. Watching as she was not only healed physically through constant prayer, but also experience spiritual and emotional healing as well. 2.) Zip lining between mountains and over the lake 3.) Going to see a kite festival where they had kites that were bigger than anything I’ve ever seen 4.) Hiking the volcano Acotenango and being able to see just how great our God is and how beautiful His creation is, but even more, how much more beautiful we are to Him than all of that. 5.) Countless hours spent at the coffee shop Coffee Bloom where I fell in love with the Bible and digging into God’s word.

South Africa:

1.) Our squad constantly being chased by monkeys. 2.) My first experience at an African church where they were full of so much joy because they had the chance to praise and worship our absolutely amazing God. 3.) Our safari to Kruger National Park

Lesotho:

1.) Running a continual kids club where we got to love on so many kids who were always so ready to sing and dance and worship God. 2.) Being brought into our host’s family and being able to say that I have gained two little brothers because of it. 3.) The Christmas church service where everyone came to sing and dance and celebrate the birth of our savior. 4.) Having fireworks 3 weekends in a row. 5.) Donkey races! 6.) Learning about how Moses is one super cool and amazing guy and how God can use our weaknesses for His glory if we let Him. 7.) Learning that the Old Testament isn’t as scary as it sounds. It is super cool and the stories often blow my mind because God has the ability to work in amazing ways and do amazing things if we just trust Him and rely on Him. 8.) Sleeping on a mountain 9.) Being able to go out into the village and get to know this amazing family and just come alongside them to do everyday life with them and just show them how much God loves them through the love that we poured out on them. 10.) The stars in the sky that twinkle in the sky and are able to tell a story.

Swaziland:

1.) PVT where I got to see my beautiful mom! 2.) Loving on some amazing kids at the feeding centers 3.) The second safari where we got the chance to eat Impala and Wildebeest and see hippos from just beyond a tiny little electric fence that in no way could hold back a small cow let alone a hippo. 4.) White water rafting

This race has been full of so many blessings, and it’s so important to remember the amazing things that God has done and the ways He has blessed us in the past so that we continue to seek after Him and the blessings that He has to offer. He longs to bless us in so many ways, we just often don’t look for them. So my prayer as we head into Cambodia is that my squad and I are able to search for and seek out the numerous blessings that God has placed in our paths. God is so good!
