The family of God is growing and expanding where I live every day. People are coming to know our father, and what his love is like. Children are running to me with open arms, only because they are drawn to the spirit that lives within me. While we were walking the streets of Cape Town Christmas Eve, people stopped us left and right to receive prayer and food. Things like this do not just happen, the Lord sets up divine appointments. I can only attempt to portray how great our God is in words, or how great his love is in actions… But you’ll never really know until you experience it.
I was absent from my family on Christmas and that was something I could never wrap my head around actually doing, but I did it. God put people in my path that needed to see why Christmas was special, and what we are celebrating. They needed to see that they are loved and cared for and worth it. This Christmas wasn’t spent by a tree, or opening an abundant amount of presents, or at a dinner table with family. It was spent simply being on the streets with those who call the streets their home. It was building relationships and being held up by my teammates. This Christmas was a gift from the Lord, and for the rest of my life I will view Christmas differently

I am doing well here in Cape Town. I had a team change, and am now living with 5 other girls. They have become some of my best friends. I live in Ocean View, Cape Town. I live with five other girls around my age. Ocean View is a small town about an hour outside of the big city of Cape Town. The people here are kind and personable. The children here sit at our doorstep and allow us to love them. We will be beginning more of a scheduled ministry as the new year approaches. We have been working on just building relationships now. We ran a weekend camp for the kids before Christmas to just run around and be children. They take on burdens, and carry the weight of their families, that don’t deserve to be on their shoulders. God is giving me brothers and sisters in Christ left and right. He is growing me and teaching me about building Godly relationships.

There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think of my family back home. Days pass and memories build, but his love never fades. The unity placed between my friends and family at home stands firm in Christ. The holt spirit binds us together and makes us one in the body of Christ.

Thank you all for your prayers and continued support.
