In the spirit of New Year’s Day, I’ve been spending a lot of my thoughts reflecting on the last year of my life. It was a crazy ride for sure, and in some ways I feel like a year on the race is impossible to top. But I know that the World Race wasn’t the highlight of my life or the greatest thing I’ll ever get to experience. I know that God has so much more in store for me and my ministry, so even though a year like this is hard to say goodbye to, I’m moving into 2012 ready to keep going forward and seeing what is next. If you’ve sat down for a meal with me, you know that I have a lot of dreams of what God wants me to do with the next chapter of my life, and in addition to continuing to tell stories from this last year that no one has heard yet, I’ll be sharing some of those on this blog in the near future. But for now, it’s time to look back at the year behind me and smile because it was truly great. Here are a couple of videos from the last couple days on the race of one of my squadmates, Bekah Byxbe, singing a song that she wrote for our squad summarizing our year on the race. You can choose which way you’d like to hear the song. The first video is just Bekah in a room singing the song to the camera, and the second video is her performing it in front of T Squad in the airport in Guangzhou, China before our last flight of the race. Thanks Bekah for creatively capturing our year!! And V Squad, I can’t wait to see you in my city in a few days!!
