Before I left on the World Race, I used to sit at my computer late at night and surf through the blogs, reading about all the amazing adventures I was going to have and dreaming about helping people around the world. I knew that my life for this year was going to be absolutely incredible, but I also knew that it couldn’t possibly be that of a glamorous jet-setter like it seemed from the blogs. I knew there would be days when I was going to be filthy or exhausted. I knew there would be days when I wanted to go home. I knew there would be wakeup calls. I was right. Welcome to Uganda.
