I love all of the children here at the orphanage and you really aren’t suppose to tell them that they are your favorite. There is this one little boy named Bunnlou who is 7 years old though. He always finds my hand or my lap if I am sitting down. I know he has a heart of gold and our first Sunday here I saw It even more.
This little boy was standing in front of me holding my hands then the next song started. He started to sing at the top of his lungs “hallelujah” “hallelujah” “hallelujah” from the bottom of his little soul. I could feel it in his chest, he had his eyes shut and the hand that wasn’t holding mine went up for a little while. Then he went into the song with all of his soul. His whole soul and heart were singing out to God the creator of the universe I could feel it.
It brought tears to my eyes it was so beautiful. The little boys name means happy/sunshine. He loves with all of his heart everyone that he meets even if he just met you. Whenever he is around there is so much joy alongside of the love that he shows. There is something about being a child and finding joy in all things. Being here this month has shown me how much joy life really is even in the small things. Those are the things that really matter the most. I’ve seen so much joy and love from the youth.
Proverbs 17:22 says,”A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up bones.”
