“Em, where have you been these past 10 days? And explain what you’ve experienced.”

Well, to start off, July 6th I was dropped off in the middle of the woods to fend for myself for 10 days. Okay that’s a little extreme, but for the wedge-wearing, yoga-doing, 8-hour sleeping girl that I am… that’s what it felt like.

In all reality, I was not excited for training camp whatsoever (as stated in my previous blog) but God showed up in Gainesville, Georgia, and He showed up big time. So as for what I experienced in those 10 days, I could go on for pages and hours the way the Lord revealed Himself to me and whispered sweet & soft truths into my heart, but for the sake of you staying my friend and blog follower I have narrowed it down to 22 truths*.

*Disclaimer: Not all of these are radical revelations; some are serious, some were life-changing, some were so funny they made me pee my pants. So without further ado…

22 Truths in 10 Days:

– When you ask God to wreck your life, it’s not just a phrase that should be thrown around. You are asking for big things, so get ready.

– I can still look cute even after not bathing for 10 days.

– I guess I’m confident enough to twerk in front of 40so strangers.

– My mom trusts and believes in me.

– The Lord goes before me and He’s showed me His timing is almost too perfect.

– Best friends can actually be made in 10 days.

– Squad wars isn’t lame…and silly activity was not actually silly…

– Georgia red dirt gets every where- I’m talkin’ every where and it stays there.

– The Lord has called me into leadership, even if I’ve never seen myself as one.

– New York accents are my new favorite- Samantha DeCarlo.

– God reveals hidden wounds in His timing and it’s perfect.

– How great would the world be if women spoke truth into each other instead of slander and pure crap.

– Ice is a gift from God.

– A man of God is to be waited for because they are sent from Jesus and oh so sweet.

– Coffee is a real addiction and withdraw is REAL hard.

– The Lord has placed me in position to lead a group of 6 absolutely amazing women- #teamselahvie.

– Make-a-memory must include ice cream, pizza, iced coffee, and nose rings (even though the latter actually didn’t happen…soon to come.)

– Common Christian phrases —> debrief that, vulnerability, “I need to grieve this,” break soul ties, process through this.

– I’m going from a girl who lives with just her mother and has only one brother to someone with a 49-person family.

– First impressions are rarely correct- I heard I was intimidating because I run…

– Jesus took my deepest secret that was padlocked shut and shattered the chains; I’ve never experienced more freedom in my life. (With that freedom comes feeling 30 pounds lighter, and I’ll just say I’m rockin’ my new spiritual body.)

– He’s a Good Good Father, that’s who He is; and I’m loved by Him, that’s who I am.

Trust me when I say that anything can happen in 10 days. Strangers can become family, Jesus can captivate your heart, or even one can become comfortable on a port-a-potty.
