Hello my precious friends and family!! I am here in the Dominican Republic safe and sound! And guess what not only did every person make it but EVERYONES bags made it too!! Which they say is a rare day on the world race 🙂 55 of us rode (the rest were already here in DR getting ready) a school bus with all our packs to the place we will be staying for launch this next 4 days…then we will be split up and half of P SQUAD (that means the total 74 people) will stay in DR for the month and half will go to Haiti! I am not sure which place i will be in first…then we switch month two 🙂 …..mom and dad, we are staying at a safe place that is gated with locks and barb wire fence and also it is required we go everywhere with a boy….GUESS WHAT…we have MATTRESSES here! there may not be AC and it may be very hot but wow to see all those little bunk beds lined up you would have think we found gold 🙂 a precious time on the WR to have a mattress! Only been here a few hours so have not done much yet but unpack a little and eat a piece of bread wtih peanut butter and some strange jelly stuff…anyway we have to be a whole dollar for this internet for the hour (i am kidding, this is so much cheaper then the US) but really i need to go because my team is ready to leave and this key board is driving me a little nuts bc the symbols here are all different! love you all thanks so much for everything and for being SOOOOOOO supportive!!!! you are the best!!!
